About me
Elisabeth Herbst Buzay is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Francophone Studies at Trinity College. Her research focuses on topics including multimedia medievalism and extraordinary communication, in works ranging from French Medieval literature to contemporary French fantasy works to autobiographical women’s writing in genre-breaking forms. Her work and collaborations on 'littératures de l’imaginaire' cover science fiction and fantasy, frequently addressing dystopias and resistance to them. She has published in journals including "SITES" and "The Year’s Work in Medievalism" and has co-authored a chapter about the video game "Assassin’s Creed". She has a forthcoming piece on Lauren Groff’s "Matrix" in "Le Cygne".
