About me
Jean Ferguson is the Director of Learning Research and Technology at Smith College, a joint appointment between the Libraries and Information Technology Services. In this role, she leads a team of instructional technologists, media producers, research librarians, and a scholarly communications specialist. Together, they partner with faculty, staff, and students to create innovative, effective, and inclusive learning experiences.
With over 20 years of experience in education and 15 years as a project manager, Jean is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance student learning and promote academic success. She previously held leadership positions at Duke University and the University of California, Berkeley, where she developed and implemented numerous initiatives to improve teaching and learning.
